How do I change or add URLs to my Ultimento license?

Here’s how to change or add domain names to your Ultimento license.

Adding a new domain name to your license

If you purchased Ultimento Plus or Max you can use Ultimento on multiple URLs. Be it completely separate projects, or maybe multiple stores from the same Magento installation.

When you signup on ultimento.com, you can submit as many URLs as is allowed in your package and those will be automatically licensed. But you can also add URLs later instead. All you have to do is open a new ticket from the help desk in your account center ;) .

Changing a licensed domain name

We’re pretty flexible when it comes to this as we understand customers may need to change their Magento URL for all kinds of reasons. But we reserve the right to reject a request for a URL change if we think the intent is to abuse the system. So far it’s never been a problem.

To submit a request to change a URL in your license open a new ticket from the help desk in your account center.

Hi, may have found the issue with my loading issues (last ticket).
I have loaded to a sub domain http://www.vacuumbag.net.au/dev
Believe I need to change my registered name with you to match.
Can you let me know, and do I need to reload?

Hey Paul – I updated your license with your dev URL. Let me know if need anything else.

Here are the installation instructions again and if you run into any issues take a few minutes to go through this troubleshooting checklist.

On a side note it’s not recommended to run Magento on a sub-folder installation (even just for development) – it’s a much better practice to use a root folder. So for example you could use store.url.com instead of url.com/store. Even though both can point to the same location on your server, the former is a much better practice for Magento.

    Thanks Noam.
Plan is to have a look and play and if it works as good as everyone says, set up a 2nd site for a while to test.
Should I change the folder set up now or wait?

Thanks for all the quick help!

Hey Paul – you’re welcome! You can change your folder setup now or later – it’s up to you. But I definitely recommend changing it at some point so probably the sooner the better ;) .

    Hi Noam,

I bought the upgrade to 2.4 and setup a second test site. I tried to use the license key but it doesn’t work.

I guess its only usable on one site? If so will you please update the license key to the above mentioned website.
If both are allowed it would be better of course because then I can mess up on one site and use what I learned on the other.

    thx
    Patrick

      Hey Patrick,

It all depends on what version of Ultimento you’re on. Standard comes with a single domain, but Plus actually comes with two domains just for this very purpose.

You can always upgrade to Plus to get an additional domain that you can run in parallel, or if you just want to switch domains for now open up a ticket in your admin account and we’ll do it ASAP.

      Thanks,
      Support
