We’re always getting people asking us if they can use Ultimento with their other Magento extensions at the same time. Here at Commative we’d like to think that a website could never need anything more than what Ultimento already offers, but don’t worry, we know better. There are countless features you can enable with Magento extensions that Ultimento doesn’t address, yet.

The important thing to remember about Magento is that every extension and theme needs to be coded the “Magento Way” . This means that the file structure and installation approach is done with compatibility and upgrades in mind. You want software that wont break when you upgrade to the next version of Magento and you certainly don’t want it to break when you install a new extension. It can take a bit longer to build software with this approach in mind, but its vital to those that want the best for their sites.

Ultimento has always been designed with this approach in mind and we work hard to ensure our software is as compatible and safe as possible. If you load an extension from another developer that causes problems with your Magento installation, make sure that developer is reputable and doesn’t have an online reputation for not sharing nicely. If you can’t find a well built extension that does what you need, let us know, we’re always open to new ideas
